Bluehost had been in hosting business for quite a while and I am sure their name is no stranger to most webmasters. The hosting company, lead by their founder and now CEO Matt Heaton, is based out of Orem, Utah. Also, Bluehost shared the same management with Hostmonster (another well know hosting services).

What kind of hosting services do Bluehost offer?
Bluehost offer shared web hosting service.
What do mean by free domain in Bluehost hosting plan?
Registration fee is waived for users who register a new domain name upon signup with Bluehost. More over, this domain is free of annualy renewal fees as long as it’s hosted on Bluehost.
Can I upgrade my hosting plan with Bluehost at a later stage?
No. Bluehost offer only one hosting plan – which is shared hosting plan. You’ll have to switch web host if you wish to upgrade to dedicated or semi dedicated hosting.
What kind of technical support do I get with Bluehost?
Live chat, toll-free phone calls, e-mail, user-supported forum – Bluehost supports are available in various forms 24/7.
How much bandwidth and disk storage do Bluehost offer?
Bluehost offer unlimited disk storage and bandwidth capacity.

How long will it take to get my website online with Bluehost ?
Your new Bluehost account will be ready within the same day you place your order. By default, you will receive your account information via e-mail notifcation and you login and start working on your new website. However, do note that it normally takes 24 – 72 hours for the DNS to be sorted (this is not controlled by Bluehost) – this means your new website can only be ready (in visitors’ view) in about three days.
How long do Bluehost trial period last?
Bluehost trial period = 30 days – New users who cancel their account within the first 30 days get their full refunds without question asked. More over, all accounts cancelled after the trial period are qualified for prorated refund at the monthly rate (which, I think is a huge plus for customers!). Learn more about Bluehost refund policy.
What kind of control panel do Bluehost support?
Bluehost customers get cPanel as their host control panel.
Can I auto-install WordPress at Bluehost?

What version of MySQL do I get with Bluehost?
Bluehost support MySQL 4 and 5 but most servers are now equipped with MySQL version 5.0.75.
What other database Bluehost support besides MySQL?
Beside MySQL, Bluehost support PostgreSQL as well. At this time of writing, Bluehost is running PostgreSQL 7.4.16.
Can I do CGI scripting in my Bluehost hosting account?
Yes, Bluehost allow CGI scripts usage as long as the script is not harmful (buggy scripts and scripts used for spamming purpose) to the web servers.
How can I pay Bluehost for their hosting service?
Bluehost accept all sort of credit card payment (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discove), check, money order, but not PayPal and cash.
Can I send an email with large files/attachments?
Bluehost has a strict 10 MB limit on each sent out emails. In fact, most web hosts impose such restriction on email usage. To send large files, try using these free file hosting sites.
I am running an adult website, is Bluehost the right hosting for me?
No, websites offering pornographic, nudity, escort services, and adult materials are not welcomed at Bluehost.
Can I get SSH access in Bluehost shared hosting plan?
Yes, users get SSH access at Bluehost. But do note that this feature is not enabled by default, users will need to activate shell access by contacting the customer service. (You’ll then be requested to send in a copy of your driving license/passport/photo id for verification).
