Self Employed Or Limited

so,
im about to start a hosting company, and was simply wondering,
if i go self employed,
can i still run via a domain.tdl
can i place my self employment number on the website,
or do i have to register as a company to run via a domain,
what are the advantages of self employed and Limited,

for example, ill take hostgator for example as people no who these are,
if i was self employed, could i still sell hosting via the hostgator.com domain,
or would it have to be something like
myname.com

please can people help me out,
